Use This Simple Marketing Strategy To Get More People Inquiring & Booking Trips With You
Evoking emotion is one of the best marketing strategies out there. Did you know that up to 95% of buying decisions are made based on emotions? (My most recent candle haul is evidence of that!).
That beautiful photo of the mountains or beach may get people to stop and pause for a minute, but to inspire them to take action and book a call or inquire to work with you, you need to leverage emotions in your marketing — your website, social media posts, emails, etc.
Take for example a honeymoon travel expert whose website says “I can plan your dream honeymoon”. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it sort of falls flat.
Those same words written to trigger empathy might sound like:
Who said honeymoon planning had to be hard? With me, it’s as easy as an evening glass of sangria on the back porch with the love of your life.
Those same words written to trigger joy might sound like:
When your honeymoon plans are *so* good, you’re almost as excited about it as your wedding day.
Evoking a feeling of empowerment might sound like:
When your honeymoon is something you get to look forward to and not something you need to stress about crossing off the to-do list.
Adding a sense of urgency might sound like:
Your honeymoon should be a 10/10 and giving yourself enough time to plan so you get everything on your wishlist is the way to do it.
People buy based on emotion and justify based on logic. Remember that the next time you’re writing captions for your social media posts. Decide how you want people to feel, and write based on that.
